The Home Stretch

Hi everyone! There are four days left in our crowdfunding campaign for Steelies and Other Endangered Species: Stories on Water at Tugboat Yards. We’re almost there!

If you haven’t been to the Tugboat page, be sure to check it out and see the cool trailer for Steelies created by Colleen Cummins. Even if you can’t contribute, please consider helping us spread the word by sharing the page. We really appreciate all of you who have retweeted and shared the page so far!

Here’s what Andrew X. Pham, author of Catfish and Mandala, had to say about Steelies:

“Rebecca Lawton has composed a very fine collection of stories about a great river, nature, steelhead, mountain lions, love, loss, loneliness, redemption, and the wild torrents of the heart. Her fluid prose flows like her beloved river, in majestic sweeps, in roiling rapids, and in clear running pools where the surreal depth becomes within reach. Simply one of the best collections I’ve read in years.”

At this point, we have raised $675 through the Tugboat Yards page. We also have received $70 from offline contributors. We’re hoping to meet our goal by Monday, March 31, and get moving on publishing this book!

We hope all of you are having a great week!
